Long-term Information Security Support Arrangements Gamma specialises in providing cost-effective, pertinent and constructive consultancy support in Information Security. When there is a security issue, we respond quickly and effectively; when there is none, we stay away, rather than creating work for ourselves. Using this philosophy, we have developed long-term relationships with a number of clients; in some cases, for more than a decade. For example, we have helped the Royal Air Force develop an integrated logistics support system, covering thousands of users across four continents, and with at times “cutting edge” security requirements. We started on this programme in 1991, and early in 2001 the main system (“Tranche One”), successfully entered full operational service, with complete and proven achievement of its security requirements (and a frightening lack of slip against its original ten year high-level development plan!). Our involvement in this major RAF programme is fully documented in a number of ground breaking professional white papers, mainly published at aerospace and computer security conferences in North America. A number of these papers can be found in the white papers section of our web site. In brief, our involvement covered the development of the security policy for the system, risk analysis (repeated several times as the nature of the operational requirements and security threat assessment changed over the years), definition of specific information security requirements, assessment of alternative security architectures put forward by potential system developers, and supervision of the successful security system development contractor. The full system was successfully evaluated under the UK ITSEC scheme. We have a number of other long-term relationships, where Gamma provides all the external Information Security consultancy and support an organisation or Government Department needs. If you are looking for a partner to provide the expertise and external perspective you lack, and who is willing to enter a long-term relationship that you can rely on, call us! Your next move … simply contact Mike Nash, by E-mail, or phone (+44) 1276 702 500. Why not do it now? |
